Equity Awards Eligibility Requirements

To ensure that the Equity Awards recognize the most deserving and impactful efforts in diversity, equity, and inclusion, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:


Type of Entity:

  • Eligible entities include corporations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), destinations, communities, and individuals.
  • Entities must be officially registered and operating legally in their respective countries.


Commitment to DEI:

  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong commitment to DEI through documented policies, programs, and practices.
  • Entities should have a track record of implementing initiatives that promote equity and inclusion.


Impact and Outcomes:

  • Applicants must provide evidence of the positive impact their DEI initiatives have had on their organization or community.
  • This can include quantitative data (e.g., diversity metrics, improved outcomes) and qualitative data (e.g., testimonials, case studies).


Sustainability and Consistency:

  • DEI efforts must be sustained over time, not just one-time events or short-term projects.
  • Applicants should show a consistent approach to integrating equity into their core operations and culture.


Innovation and Leadership:

  • Applicants should demonstrate innovative approaches to DEI, showcasing how they have pioneered new strategies or solutions.
  • Leadership in DEI should be evident through initiatives that inspire others and set a benchmark for best practices.


Transparency and Accountability:

  • Entities must be transparent about their DEI goals, strategies, and progress.
  • Applicants should provide clear documentation and reporting on their DEI efforts and outcomes.


Inclusivity:

  • The DEI initiatives must be inclusive, benefiting a broad range of stakeholders, including employees, customers, community members, and other relevant groups.
  • Applicants should illustrate how they address various aspects of diversity, including but not limited to race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.


Legal and Ethical Standards:

  • Entities must adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards in their DEI efforts.
  • Any history of legal violations or unethical practices related to discrimination or exclusion may disqualify an applicant.


Geographical Reach:

  • The Equity Awards are open to entities globally. However, applicants should indicate the geographical scope of their DEI initiatives, whether local, national, or international.


Documentation and Verification:

  • Applicants must submit comprehensive documentation supporting their eligibility and the impact of their DEI efforts.
  • This may include but is not limited to, program descriptions, performance metrics, testimonials, case studies, and third-party evaluations.
